The big G-O!
What an incredible weekend!
What girl doesn't dream of being at the US Nationals... the big G-O of drag racing. (Okay, maybe there aren't too many girls who dream about it... but every drag racer does!) Not only was I in attendance at Indy, but I was given a "Make a Wish" style dream come true by Evan Knoll of Torco Race Fuels & Mike Ashley's Gotham City Racing Nitro Funny Car team as well as the TARE Racing Pro Mod team. They were the kindest, most friendly group and allowed me to tag along all weekend on the starting line and in the pits of the US Nationals. They welcomed me in and were so amazingly hospitable to me all weekend. What a great team they are, and they are such a hardworking group who is well on their way to success.
Not only did they let me tag along all weekend, but they were kind enough to let me look over their shoulders. I have such tremendous respect for these teams, and I love getting a up-close look and learning about what it takes to make these professional teams rocket down the 1/4 mile. I have dreams that I will be there with them some day, but for now its more like a dream come true to be amidst it all in the pits.
