Help bring $21 million motorsports complex to AL
There is a proposal out to build a $21 million motorsports facility in Heflin, AL on the AL/GA border off of I-20. Such a facility could potentially bring an NHRA National event to Alabama, which currently has no NHRA National event.

Erica,
I sent emails to the two places you listed in your post. Below is the reply I got from one. I for one would think that a motorsport park in that area would be awesome. I hope it goes well. Please keep me posted.

Mr. Hurley,
Thanks for your input. If the motorsports complex comes into existence in Heflin it will be built upon the foundation of communications such as yours and other supporters of the effort. I encourage anyone with an opinion to make sure and let us know.
Our next meeting is February 5th, 6 p.m. at the Heflin Parks & Recreation Department Board Room.
