Aim High Extraordinary Stories of Hispanic and Latina Women is a book that offers hope and inspiration. Author Laura Contreras-Rowe has traveled the country in the last year meeting and interviewing inspirational and amazing Hispanic and Latina women. This book features 33 thought-provoking positive role models from all over the country and from different professional backgrounds to tell their story, delivering a powerful message that despite financial challenges, family obligations and horrific environment or events: a young Hispanic or Latina woman can succeed to astounding heights with courage and tenacity.

Huntsville, AL-- Horsepower & Heels driver, Erica Ortiz, will be live on-air with the "Thunder Road" morning show this Sunday, March 1st on Houston, TX's AM radio station 1560 "The Game".
The "Thunder Road" show is Houston’s ONLY place for all things motor sports and the best damn racing show around, featuring hosts Doug Johnson, a former Fun Ford Weekend competitor, and "Ya Boy Blue" (Jeffery Blue). Erica will join the well-known Houston personalities for their "Driving Divas" segment, a portion of the show dedicated to women in motorsports. Past guests include NHRA Pro Stock driver Erica Enders and Stock Car racer Kristen Bumbera.
The show will air this Sunday, March 1st from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM central standard time. Ladies and gentlemen START YOUR RADIOS!!!!!!!!!!
Starting on October 15, 2008, the Palomita Education Fund will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise money for the cause.
Horsepower & Heels driver, Erica Ortiz, is one of the featured artists on the shirts. The shirts were part of the "Piensa Mas Alla" or Think Beyond fundraiser, an annual fashion show dedicated to raising awareness and support for the Palomita Education Fund. The auction will feature the limited edition designs, autographed by their celebrity creators.
"I think it is wonderful what this organization is doing for the hispanic youth. I'm very proud to be associated with Palomita Education." says Erica of the organization.
The Palomita Education Fund was founded in 2007 by Molly Robbins, a successful entrepreneur and Mexico City native. It is a non-profit organization that encourages and supports professional and leadership development in the Latino community.
The objectives of the organization are to:
Provide scholarships to Latinos planning to or currently enrolled in college
Encourage participation of the Latino community in higher education and professional growth
Promote a productive and high-quality life.

Grant, AL-- June 12th marked a very special night for the Beca Palomita Education program. The pink carpet fashion show/auction benefit event, held at the Terra San Francisco, featured a first-edition t-shirt collection, with designs by popular latino personalities.
Horsepower & Heels driver, Erica Ortiz, was among the designers who participated with her limited-edition design "WOOPY" shirt. The shirt was auctioned off for $300 to benefit the Palomita education fund.

About Beca Palomita
The purpose of the Palomita Education Fund is to award scholarships to assist Latino students in completing their undergraduate and graduate college education. These scholarships are available through a merit and need-based competition to high school seniors of Latino background entering undergraduate programs.

Grant, AL-- The long awaited debut of the Horsepower & Heels Web TV series has arrived. Produced by citizen news station, PNN.com, the series follows Horsepower & Heels driver, Erica Ortiz and her crewmate Debbie Denny as they put together a Pro Modified drag car.
Each mini-episode dives into a little more about the team and what it takes to propel a car from 0-200+mph in 6 seconds.
New episodes in the series will air semi-weekly on Mondays. Stay tuned for more from the Horsepower & Heels Series!

Grant, AL--Horsepower & Heels driver, Erica Ortiz, has partnered up with the Palomita Clothing Company to help improve the lives of Latinos through the Beca Palomita education fund.
Latin American culture is a very important part of driver Erica Ortiz's life. So when Palomita, a clothing company dedicated to nostalgic latino culture, asked Erica to participate in the First Annual Latino Fashion Show Auction Benefitting the Palomita Education Fund, Erica was excited to help out.
Given a blank template with only the word "WOOPY", Erica's job was to design a 1st edition t-shirt that would be auctioned off at the charity event along with designs by other Latino personalities. The designs will then be put into the Palomita collection, with all proceeds benefiting the Palomita Education Fund.
The Benefit event will be held on June 12th, 2008 at the Terra San Francisco with Pink Carpet arrival beginning at 6:30pm. Tickets to the event can be purchased at http://palomitaclothing.com/events.
